This site was created on the back of my personal success I’ve had with juicing, and I would love to help anyone else out there achieve their health goals too! So please don’t be shy, contact me¬†directly and I’ll get back to you. I read and reply to all the emails that I receive on this site (even though there are many), because it makes me happy to help out where I can.

I must profess though, that I am NOT a doctor, and any information that I supply should be seen as educational in nature based on my (or others) personal experiences. I will always recommend you see a specialised doctor first in relation to any potential health or medical condition.

And now to my story..

How It All Began

My passion for juicing came about when I was researching for healthy food recipes for my father who (at the time) had cardiovascular disease and was recovering from major heart surgery after falling victim to a heart attack.

During my research I came across the topic of juicing and started reading up on all the amazing health benefits that fruit and vegetable juices have on people with medical conditions. My eyes and ears were open and I was taking everything in like a sponge.

I decided to do some more research on juicing and in particular the various fruits and vegetables. I found that a number of them had nutrients that were extremely beneficial for people who had high blood pressure, cholesterol and heart disease. So I decided to experiment, and tried juicing these fruits and vegetables together. The flavour combinations worked and I knew they would be a hit with my dad.

See my dad was someone that would eat anything, and was certainly not a hater of fruits or vegetables, however when it came to cooking the healthy stuff he (as many of us are) was lazy, and in most cases didn’t include a healthy dose of fresh fruits or veggies in his daily meals. This however, isn’t the primary reason (in my opinion) he had a heart attack in the first place, as he had also been a smoker all his life, but we won’t go into the details of that.

What’s important is understanding how I could keep him healthy post operation, by supplying him with all the vital nutrients that fruits and vegetables have in order to keep his body as healthy as possible. This is when I researched all the best ingredients to use in a juice for someone experiencing such a condition. My concern was whether he would like it or not as the answer to that question would lead him to juice for himself in the future. And so did he like it?

He loved it!

He couldn’t believe how tasty primarily vegetable juice could be for him, and how quickly he could ingest the required daily dose of fruit and veggies in one glass of fresh juice.¬†

He was hooked. And that made me wonder whether I should juice too.

How I Got Hooked on Juicing

So after the success of creating various juice recipes for my dad, I decided to give it a try myself, my goals however, were entirely different.

I was going through a stage whereby due to time restraints and work stress, I had let myself go a bit too much, and the pounds around my stomach really began to become noticeable. And I didn’t like it.

Growing up in my early adulthood and early twenties, I was relatively fit looking, and although I never really sported a six pack, I considered myself lean and athletic. Move along 6-7 years and I managed to put on a solid 37 pounds from my peak period, which is a lot when you consider I’m just under 6 foot in height. So definitely not Mr Tall.

I also struggled to eat my recommended daily dose of fresh nutritional fruit and veggies, and this no doubt was starting to take a toll on my body. Something had to change.

So I decided to give juicing a go as a way of detoxing my body as well as hopefully kick starting my weight loss regime. My main goal however was to feel more energetic and cleaner inside. The results I achieved in just a few days got me hooked on juicing.

On top of feeling fantastic and full of energy, I managed to lose 9 pounds in just 7 days!! I then went on to lose another 32 pounds in the following few weeks. But you can read more about my journey and how I used juicing to lose the extra weight I had gained.

My juicing success personally and for my father, is what gave me the idea to set up this website. If I am able to help others on their journey to accomplishing their health goals I will have achieved my mission.
