Your typical grapefruit cleansing diet may look something like this and it is up to you to consider whether or not you should go on it. An Example Day Doing The Grapefruit Diet
Breakfast
- Two Eggs cooked any way
- Four small sausages, four strips of bacon or two slices of ham.
- Four ounces of unsweetened grapefruit juice.
Lunch
- Unlimited meat, fish and other seafood or poultry cooked in any way.
- Any salad that doesn’t have any naturally-sweet food items such as dates, beets, watermelon, carrots, lychees, podded peas, pineapples, rutabagas, bananas, and sweet potatoes.
- Four ounces of unsweetened grapefruit juice.
Dinner
- Four ounces of grapefruit juice.
- Unlimited meat, fish and other seafood or poultry cooked in any way.
- Salad made with red or green (but not white) onions, broccoli, cucumbers, cabbage, spinach, radishes, and lettuce.
You may take coffee or tea but ensure you don’t add sugar to either and remember to drink between eight and ten glasses of water daily. Most dieters may find these rules as boring as they are simple. The solution is to vary the vegetables, fruits, and meats that you include in your grapefruit diet.
