Kiwi Juice Recipe: How to Make It and the 7 Amazing Benefits

To avoid high duties and taxes charged in the early 20th century on berries, the Chinese gooseberry was renamed kiwi after the small, fuzzy, and brown bird of New Zealand. What makes it exceptional, however, is its extremely high content of vitamin C. In fact kiwi has 5 times the amount of vitamin C that oranges have. Yep bet that made you jump!  Read on to find out all the kiwi juice benefits that this fruit has in store for you.

As far as nutrition density is concerned, kiwi fruit tops the list among other fruits. The juice of kiwi tastes like a wonderful combination of nectarine, pineapple, and strawberry and is made even more delicious by the soft texture of its crunchy seeds. Pulpy and thick, kiwi juice has a creamier texture than other juices.

Kiwi is naturally fat free and has a low glycemic index that is beneficial for those who need to watch their levels of blood sugar. Although kiwi fruit can be eaten in solid form, taking it as juice enables your body to absorb it more quickly so you can obtain its health benefits immediately. It also has more vitamin C than lemons and oranges.

Juicing Kiwi – How to Make Kiwi Juice?

Making Kiwi juice is actually really easy. Just follow the following steps to juicing kiwi for best results:

  • Choose organically-grown kiwi fruits to ensure that you will not be ingesting any pesticides or fertilizers along with your juice. Wash 4 or 5 kiwi's thoroughly. You can choose to peel off the skin or keep them on.
  • Slice each into half an inch rounds, crosswise, and then into quarters.
  • Place the kiwi pieces into your juicer for extraction. If you peeled off the skin, your juicer will yield pulp (which you can use in baking breads, muffins, brownies, and other baked goods for the additional fiber.)
  • Serve over ice if you prefer the juice chilled. In the case of kiwi, it's highly recommended to either chill the juice or use ice. This will accentuate the flavour of the kiwi. It will also make it much more refreshing.
