Omega Vrt350 HD Review

 Our Overall Rating

This article reviews one of the best masticating juicer types: the Omega VRT350HD.

When juicing became all the rage, the demand for juicers obviously escalated and while this equipment is designed for one primary purpose – to extract liquid from fruits and vegetables and obtain all the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that are in these foods – their processes for extraction differ.

What Others Say

What We Like

  • Produces exceptional quality juice
  • Easy to use
  • Very powerful and makes very little noise

What We Don't Like

  • Takes longer to juice than other juicers
  • This juicer is not cheap

Summary: A fantastic juicer, perhaps our favourite here at The Juice Chief HQ. The juice quality is exceptional, and the pulp is very, very dry. The juicer itself is very powerful despite the fact that it makes very little noise. It’s also relatively easy to use too. The only real downside is that this particular model is expensive, however no more expensive than most other low rev masticating juicers on the market.

Background Details of the Omega Vrt350HD Manufacturer

Benefits of the Omega Vrt350 HD Juicer

Omega’s latest heavy duty juicing appliance, the VRT350HD is a single auger juicer with a slow speed of 80 RPM. But that’s because it was designed to build up only minimal heat to prevent oxidation of the healthy enzymes in the extracted juice.

If we had to sum it up, there are 3 main benefits to the Omega Vrt350HD:

The Omega Vrt350HD is one of the best juicers on the market for the pure reason that it can juice both fruits and leafy green extremely well.

In most cases a juicer can be exceptional at either one or the other, however it's rare to find a juicer than make high quality juice, juicing both fruits and leafy green vegetables. The Omega Vrt350HD does exactly that!

The VRT350HD yields more extracted liquid than other centrifugal ejection juicers.

Your juice is first extracted during the crushing stage prior to the pulp’s ejection, after which it is squeezed at the second stage to obtain the maximum amount of juice and an extremely dry resultant pulp.

With the VRT350HD, you will always get the largest amount of nutritious juice from the smallest amount of fruit or vegetable,

The Omega VRT350HD runs at a low rpm (80), and thus is also much quieter than your other typical centrifugal juicers.

This means that with the Omega you can practically juice at any time of day, creating very little disturbance to your family (or neighbours) around you.

Features of the Omega Vrt350 HD Juicer

    • Low speed at 80 RPM to ensure that the vitamins, minerals, and other nutritive enzymes from vegetables and fruits are retained during juicing.
    • The single auger for extraction literally masticates every piece of fruit or vegetable that is put into it and thoroughly pulverizes it from solid to liquid form.
    • Because the VRT350HD ejects the pulp automatically into a container, juicing is done without interruption.
    • This Omega model’s auger durability is eight times stronger than other brands inits class because of its superior quality GE ULTEM material.
    • The “reverse” mechanism is built-in to prevent clogging of the juicer while it is in operation.
    • It comes with a ten year warranty on all labour and equipment parts to assure you many years of trouble-free durability and dependability of after-sale service.
    • With a dimension of 15.83 inches (height) by 6.81 inches (width), the VRT350HD can be stored practically anywhere.

Pros and Cons

  • The VRT350HD maximizes extraction of nutrients from all kinds of vegetables or fruits.
  • The quality of the juice created is fantastic!
  • Assembly and disassembly is easy.
  • Because the VRT350HD operates slowly, noise is minimal.
  • The VRT350HD’s versatility enables it to juice not only vegetables and fruits but wheat grass and other types of grasses, leafy vegetables, and nuts.
  • Produces extremely dry pulp.
  • The ten year warranty covers the entire juicer inclusive of parts and labour.

  • More expensive than non masticating (centrifugal) juicers.
  • Because of its slow masticating rate, juicing takes a little longer.
  • JThe durability of the juicer translates to a heavier weight of 20 pounds.

Detailed Aspects of the Juicer

The VRT350HD’s feed chute is 60% larger than most masticating juicers in its class, which will typically have feed tubes that measure 1.5 inches. This particular Omega model’s kidney-shaped chute measures 2.25 inches by 1.25 inches that enables the user to put in larger pieces of produce to reduce juicing time. Moreover, this juicer’s screen is made from GE ULTEM material.

GE ULTEM is resin that is free from BPA, is nearly indestructible, and enables Omega to provide its customers with a warranty of ten years on the entire juicer’s parts and labor.

The design of the VRT350HD’s auger gives it superior strength to pull everything down in its system without the aid of the plunger. Because of its unique horizontal design, the VRT350HD can even juice milks from almonds and soy beans.

Unlike centrifugal juicers, masticating juicers operate more quietly, and the VRT350HD is even quieter than other masticators in its class. And this is not the only convenience for the user;

the VRT350HD has a screen that is self-cleaning, meaning you save time when cleaning up after juicing. This Omega model comes with a customized cleaning brush, a tamper, and instruction manual for more user convenience.

How Does it Compare

Let’s take a look at how the Hamilton Beach 67650a Big Mouth Pro compares with other juicing machines:

The Omega J8006 Juicer – Constructed with commercial juicing features but designed for household usage, the Omega J8006 with the single auger is pretty much the same as the VRT350HD when it comes to its basic features. With a warranty of 15 years, the J8006 is also a hundred dollars cheaper than the VRT350HD. Read the full review here.

The Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite – With its extra wide feed chute, powerful two-speed Italian-manufacture motor encased in a stainless steel die-cast body, and stainless mesh filter baskets, the 800JEXL is much more expensive than the VRT350HD, but the quality of juice is similar. Read the full review here.

The Hamilton Beach 67650a Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor – A completely different juicer on many fronts. The Hamilton Beach is a centrifugal juicer. The quality of the juice is not as high but costs a fraction of the Omega Vrt350HD. Read the full review here.

Should I Buy the Omega Vrt350HD Juicer?

If time is something you have much of to spare, a masticating juicer like the VRT350HD will be suitable for you. This Omega model’s extraction process also provides you with up to 72 hours of juice storage time, which can be beneficial for users who want to make sufficient quantities of juice and drink them later. If your lifestyle is in either category, yes, you should buy the VRT350HD.

Those on tight budgets may find the VRT350HD above their expected price point. But if its features, as discussed earlier, are what you really want in a juicer, saving up for it is worth your while because of the Omega VRT350HD’s ten year warranty, durability of construction, and reliable performance.

We fell in love with Omega Vrt350HD, and is currently still the juicer we use for making practically all our juices. We rarely give 5 stars to any juicer but we make a rare exception for this model. It’s an exceptional juicer and one that we highly recommend.

I'm as passionate about fitness and health as I am about juicing. I discovered that by juicing, helped me lose many unwanted pounds around my body, gave me much more physical energy and mental clarity to enjoy everyday life.
