How We Research Products

Our juicer and blender guides are based on research, not on hands-on lab testing. Here is exactly what that means.

What we do

  1. Define the job. Who is this for: a beginner, someone who juices leafy greens, a small kitchen?
  2. Collect the facts. Manufacturer specifications, warranty terms, parts and cleaning requirements, and the type of machine (centrifugal, masticating, twin-gear, blender).
  3. Read what owners and independent testers report. We look for patterns across many owner reviews and published independent tests, such as noise, clogging, cleaning time and durability complaints.
  4. Compare on the same criteria. Juicing type and suitability for greens, speed, noise, capacity, cleaning effort, footprint, warranty and price band (without quoting prices).
  5. Write the trade-offs. Every pick includes who it suits, who should skip it and what to check before buying.

What our research cannot tell you

  • We have not tested these machines ourselves, so we do not report personal juicing results.
  • Owner reviews can be biased or outdated, and manufacturers describe their own products favorably. We try to weigh both, but you should read the current listing before buying.
  • Models and availability change. Check that the version you buy matches what we describe.

Keeping guides current

We re-check guides regularly and update them when specifications, warranties or availability change. Prices are not shown because they change daily; use the retailer page for the current price.
