How We Develop Recipes

Our juice recipes are built from well-known juicing combinations and sensible ratios, then checked for plausibility. We are not a test kitchen.

How a recipe is made

  1. We start from common, established combinations (for example apple and ginger, or cucumber, celery and lemon).
  2. We check that amounts are realistic for the yield: how much produce it takes to make a glass, based on typical juice yields. You can see the same numbers in our juice yield calculator.
  3. We write short, clear steps and tips for swaps, with ratios where possible.
  4. We keep storage advice conservative: refrigerate fresh juice, and drink it soon. Anyone pregnant, older, very young or with a weakened immune system should be extra careful with raw juice.

What to expect

  • Taste varies with the variety and ripeness of produce and with your juicer. Adjust sweetness, acidity and ginger to your liking.
  • Nutrition figures, when shown, are estimates.
  • Recipes are for general enjoyment, not medical advice, and make no health promises. See our disclaimer.
